I kind of felt like doing the same thing
3 March 2010, 09:00I took the earliest bus to Mae Sai this morning. It has been getting warm lately, and I didn’t want to ride the bus during the heat of the day. So I got up real early, got packed and checked out, caught a cycle rickshaw to the bus terminal, and rode the 6:00 am bus out. This little girl was fast asleep over the engine housing when I boarded.
Since I didn’t get a chance for breakfast, I bought some food off a vendor who was selling through the windows of the bus. The thing I got was a stick that looked like bamboo, and it was filled with something that looked like rice. Tasted nothing like it, though, and it made me kind of sick later that day.
But I didn’t care, because I was finally getting to the town I had come to minister in. As many great things as God had done so far on this trip, I was finally going to Mae Sai! This was the very reason I’d come, and I could hardly contain the excitement. I’m going to Mae Sai! I know, I’ve said it thrice, but it was that awesome to me.
