The View From My Hotel Window in Chiang Rai

Well, at least I have a window.

After leaving Mae Salong, I went back to Chiang Rai yet again (this makes my third visit this month, if you count my arrival here, and the visit Patti and I made while I was at her house.) I had heard some good things about this hotel, and it was right across the street from Overbrook Hospital where I intended to have some dental work done, so the decision to stay here seemed like a no-brainer. It was quite a comfortable stay, but I really laughed when I saw this view.

It was so pleasant in Chiang Rai when I was there, and opening this window and the windows in the hallway allowed the most wonderful breeze to blow through. It was quite hot during the day, but being in a concrete building almost made it seem like it was air conditioned. I only called this room “home” for a week, but I was glad to have the break.
