A strikingly familar vista
12 January 2010, 09:00So yeah, I took basically this same shot the last time I was here, but it’s a great view, and I wanted to show it to you again. This time I got the town in the picture. Mae Salong is essentially just a road along the ridge of a hill. The hillsides themselves are mostly covered with tea plants. And, either direction you go on the road, it doesn’t matter, they both take you to Mae Chan. Although, if you follow the road in the direction of this photo, you have the option of turning right a ways down and going toward Chiang Mai, the second largest city in Thailand and one which I should like to visit my next time there.
