On walking the straight and narrow trail
12 February 2010, 09:00This is one of the myriad paths through Mrs. Wong’s property. It made me think of the road I’ve chosen to travel in my life, kind of muddy, not particularly attractive, a bit grown-over in spots. Many times you can’t see beyond the trees that lie ahead. Often you can only see the next few steps in front of you. But it’s the destination that makes it worth it. It’s not the boulders I have to climb or the rivers I have to ford. It’s the thought that I’m taking countless people down this trail with me, on our way to Glory. That’s why I’m here. That’s why I do this. That’s what makes it worth it.
